Artwork FAQ's

Keep these things in mind when placing your next artwork request to make sure it gets processed ASAP!

  • How do I know if I need my artwork redrawn?

    Redrawing an artwork means turning it into a vector file that can be easily edited. Customers often provide images or screenshots of designs that aren't editable, such as JPEGs, PNGs, or JPGs. Once we convert the design into a vector file, we can make changes to the artwork, including its colors, text, shapes, placement, or any other adjustments your customer needs.

  • What is a concept board?

    Concept boards are created by our art team and show a few design options based on your customer's preferences. They're helpful when your customer isn't sure what they want yet or wants to explore a new idea. From these options, your customer can pick one design or make small adjustments.

  • Why do i need to title my artwork request?

    Titling the artwork helps ensure we're all aligned when discussing a project or order. It’s especially useful for clients with multiple designs, making it easier to reference and reorder in the future.

    When naming your artwork make sure to include key identifying details to the overall order. ex: "Simmons MS Basketball Apparel 2025"

  • What is a style #?

    Garment style numbers are short codes (usually 3-6 characters) assigned by suppliers to identify garments in their systems. These codes are also used by Printavo to ensure the correct garment is selected when entering an order.

    ex: Gildan Sweatpants -> #18200 in S&S

  • What if I need my artwork redrawn and minor changes made?

    This is usually the case with most artwork you receive from your customers. However, before any changes can be made, the artwork will need to be redrawn. Please submit your request as a redraw and include any minor changes you'd like in the instructions. We'll make those adjustments once the redraw is complete.
